Sending a parcel with Geniki Taxidromiki

With a network of over 260 service points and a presence in several countries, Geniki Taxydromiki is one of the largest courier companies in Greece, offering timely and secure courier services for domestic and international shipments.

Buyer instructions

After selecting “Buy Now”, you will be taken to the checkout page, where you need to select Geniki Taxydromiki as the delivery method and fill in the required shipping details.

Delivery & service points

Shipments can be delivered door-to-door or to a Geniki Taxydromiki service point, depending on the destination and availability.

For Greece

Geniki Taxydromiki applies three shipping zones. Charges depend on the location of the buyer and seller. For remote areas, delivery is made only to the nearest Geniki Taxydromiki service point.

For Cyprus

Domestic shipments offer door-to-door delivery in all areas.

For other EU countries

Delivery method (door-to-door or service point) depends on the destination country and local courier availability.

Seller instructions

Once the buyer completes payment for the item and shipping costs, the seller is automatically notified to proceed with shipping.

Within the transaction, select “Instructions & Shipping” to begin the process.

You will be transferred to the label creation process, where you need to select the Geniki Taxydromiki service point where you will deliver the package and fill in a possible return address.

The shipping label will be created and sent to your email within up to 3 days.

Important note

The first time a shipping label is created for a specific Geniki Taxydromiki service point, additional time may be required as the request is reviewed by an employee. After this initial request is completed, future shipping labels for the same service point will be created automatically without delay.

As with any shipment, keep clear photos/videos of the contents of the package and pack the item carefully.

Print and attach the label, then deliver the package to the selected Geniki Taxydromiki service point.

For shipments from Cyprus only

Pickup from your location may be available. Follow the instructions shown during the shipping step.

Package weight & volumetric weight

The weight entered in the listing must be accurate. Shipping costs are calculated based on the greater of the actual weight or the volumetric weight.

Volumetric weight is calculated according to IATA regulations as:
(Length × Width × Height in centimeters) / 5,000

Any difference between the declared weight and the shipping weight may be charged to the sender.

Claims, damage & compensation

In case of damage or loss, the seller, as the owner of the item, should contact Geniki Taxydromiki to submit a claim*. It is recommended to report the issue within two days from noticing the damage or loss.

The item and its original packaging must be kept, as they might be requested for inspection from Geniki Taxydromiki, in order to decide about compensation.

*Domestic and international shipments are covered, against damage or loss up to €70.00 for documents and up to €400.00 for parcels.

Damaged shipment

If the recipient notices damage upon receipt, they must keep the contents and the original packaging and inform the seller so they will be able to report the damage within two days. At this stage, the seller must receive the damaged item back from the buyer in order to submit the claim.

Required documents

Geniki Taxydromiki may request the following in order to proceed with a compensation claim:

– A completed, signed and stamped compensation form

– Proof of purchase (screenshot showing product description and sale amount)

– Photos of the damaged item

If Geniki Taxydromiki proceeds with compensation (either full or partial, depending on the case), the damaged item may remain in their possession and may not be returned to the seller.
