Sending a parcel with DPD Portugal

DPD Portugal offers tracked delivery for Vendora orders sent from mainland Portugal to buyers in Portugal and supported European Union countries.

Depending on the destination, buyers can choose delivery to a DPD Pickup point or directly to their address.

For orders from Portugal to Spain, DPD handles the shipment from Portugal and SEUR completes the delivery in Spain.

Vendora currently supports DPD shipping from mainland Portugal only. Shipments involving the Azores or Madeira are not available yet.

Buyer instructions

Buyers can choose their preferred DPD Portugal delivery option at checkout when it is available for the order.

Depending on the destination, the parcel can be delivered to a DPD Pickup point, parcel locker or directly to the buyer’s address.

DPD or its delivery partner in the destination country sends delivery updates by email, SMS or through their app. For deliveries to Spain, these updates may come from SEUR.

Buyers can also track the order in Vendora.

Once the transaction is confirmed, the seller receives the shipping instructions and prepares the parcel.

Seller instructions

After the buyer completes payment, the seller is notified to ship the parcel.

Open the Order Timeline, select Instructions & Shipping, and follow the steps shown there.

  • Use only the shipping label generated by Vendora for the order. Print it and attach it securely to the largest side of the parcel.
  • Remove or fully cover any old shipping labels and barcodes.
  • Take the parcel to your nearest DPD point – either a locker or a staffed DPD Pickup shop (DPD Loja).
  • The parcel must weigh 10 kg or less and stay within the dimensions shown in Vendora. A DPD point may refuse parcels that exceed the allowed limits.
  • If the parcel is longer than 52 cm or does not fit in a locker, take it to a staffed DPD Pickup shop instead.
  • Tracking starts after DPD scans the parcel for the first time. Vendora updates the order automatically, so you do not need to mark it as shipped manually.

Find the nearest DPD location using the DPD Pickup point finder.

Package limits & dimensions

For the current Vendora drop-off service, each shipment can contain one parcel weighing up to 10 kg.

Vendora supports XS, S, M and L parcel sizes for DPD Portugal shipments.

DPD lockers have a maximum compartment size of approximately:

52 × 39 × 55 cm

The exact parcel limits shown in Vendora depend on the selected parcel size and delivery service.

If the parcel is longer than 52 cm or does not fit in an available locker compartment, use a staffed DPD Pickup shop instead.

Always measure and weigh the parcel after all protective packaging has been added.

DPD Portugal also confirms that parcels dropped off through its Pickup network are limited to 10 kg.

Delivery details & important notes

Within mainland Portugal, delivery may be available to a DPD Pickup point, locker or directly to the buyer’s address, depending on the option selected at checkout.

For international orders, DPD may use another DPD network partner to complete the delivery in the destination country.

For orders to Spain, SEUR completes the delivery.

  • Follow the delivery or collection instructions sent by DPD, SEUR or the local delivery partner.
  • If the parcel is delivered to a locker, collect it before the deadline shown in the courier notification.
  • Staffed DPD Pickup shops follow their individual opening hours.
  • If a selected locker or pickup point is unavailable, follow the alternative instructions provided by the courier.
  • After the first physical scan, Vendora updates the shipping status automatically.

You can find DPD Pickup shops and lockers through the DPD Pickup point finder.

Packaging responsibility

The seller is responsible for packing the parcel securely.

  • Use a strong, undamaged box that fits the item.
  • Protect fragile items and fill empty space so the contents cannot move.
  • Seal the parcel securely with strong tape.
  • Remove or fully cover old labels and barcodes.
  • Attach the Vendora shipping label flat on the largest side of the parcel without folding it around an edge.

Poor or unsuitable packaging may affect a damage claim. DPD requires parcels to be securely packed so they can safely pass through its normal transport and sorting process.

Tracking your parcel

Buyers and sellers can track the shipment in Vendora:

Profile → Transactions → Order Timeline → Track parcel

You can also track the parcel on the official DPD Portugal tracking page.

Tracking starts after DPD scans the parcel for the first time.

For international deliveries, tracking may also include updates from the local delivery partner. For deliveries to Spain, SEUR may provide additional delivery updates.

Damaged or lost shipments

Report any problem through:

Profile → Transactions → Order Timeline

For damaged parcels or missing contents, the buyer must report the issue before approving the order and within 48 hours of delivery.

Then contact Vendora Support and keep the parcel, packaging and shipping label until the case is resolved.

You may be asked to provide:

  • photos of the parcel, outer and inner packaging, damaged item and shipping label
  • proof of drop-off
  • tracking information
  • additional information or a declaration for lost or missing deliveries

For international shipments, the courier completing the final delivery may also be involved in the investigation.

Compensation depends on the shipment, parcel value and applicable courier terms. Vendora will confirm the applicable amount after the claim is reviewed.

For more information, see the Return Policy.

Prohibited items

Do not send dangerous or illegal goods, firearms or ammunition, explosives, drugs, flammable, toxic or corrosive materials, cash or securities, precious metals or stones, live animals or plants, medical waste, high-value goods requiring special handling, or items requiring temperature-controlled or specialist transport.

DPD may apply additional restrictions depending on the destination and the courier completing the final delivery. For shipments delivered in Spain, SEUR’s restrictions may also apply.

The item must also comply with Vendora’s marketplace rules. See the full Vendora prohibited items list.

This list is not exhaustive. If an item requires dangerous-goods, temperature-controlled, age-verified, specially insured or another specialist delivery service, it cannot be sent with a standard Vendora label.
