Prohibited items on Vendora.

Vendora is a platform on which you can sell and buy new and used things pleasantly, quickly at no cost.

But there are some items that we do not accept on our page:

Ivory:

In accordance with international law, the sale of ivory and ivory items is strictly prohibited. Finished ivory articles can be sold only if they possess the relevant proof or certificate of manufacture dating before July 1, 1975. However, the sale of unprocessed whole ivory is entirely prohibited.

Exceptions include items that are parts of furniture or handles of medical instruments. Decorations, statuettes, etc., are not exempt from the prohibition.

If your item has the necessary legal certificates, you can edit your ad, explicitly mentioning the accompanying certificate. If not, kindly remove the ad. Detailed instructions can be found here.

Law 2168/1993 prohibits the trade and disposal of weapons and related items as follows:

  • Weapons
  • Shotguns
  • airguns
  • ammunition
  • Explosives & Explosive Devices
  • mechanisms and any means of spraying chemicals or discharging electrical energy

The sale of weapons is allowed only under specific conditions and with the appropriate license. Due to the challenge of verifying every ad and seller for compliance with legal requirements, Vendora opts not to permit ads for the sale of weapons on our site.

In accordance with Article 2 of Regulation (EC) No 3730/2008, the current law prohibits the manufacture, display, marketing, and sale of items in the external form of tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes, unless approved by the Ministry of Health based on paragraph 2 of the same article.

Animal ads:

On our platform, ads for buying and selling animals are strictly prohibited in compliance with the current law, specifically Law 4039/2014. This law mandates a breeder’s license for those selling animals, even in the case of a single animal. As we cannot verify if sellers possess the required legal documents and license, we do not accept such ads.

Furthermore, items containing animal skin from species deemed protected or legislated as illegal to buy and sell are also prohibited. Examples include snake, crocodile, leopard, and antelope.

Replicas:

Advertising an item using the brand names of companies is not permitted. The trade names of these companies are protected trademarks, and using them to promote items that are not theirs is a violation of their intellectual property rights.

Sexual Images:

Nudity or sexual activity is not allowed on our platform, as some community members may be sensitive to such content. We take steps to remove sexual imagery without further investigation to prevent the sharing of non-consensual or underage content. Restrictions on viewing sexual activity extend to digitally generated content unless posted for educational, humorous, or satirical purposes.

While we understand that nude images may be shared for various reasons, such as protest, informing the public about a cause, or for educational or medical purposes, we only allow such content when the intent is clear. For instance, images related to protest actions, breastfeeding women, and photos of mastectomy scars may be permitted. Additionally, we allow photographs of paintings, sculptures, and other artistic works depicting naked bodies. However, images of female breasts where the nipple is visible are not allowed.

  • Explicit sexual intercourse, which is considered to occur when one person’s mouth or genitals enter or come into contact with another person’s genitals or anus, and the genitals of at least one of those two persons are naked
  • Implied sexual intercourse, which is considered to occur when a person’s mouth or genitals enter or come into contact with another person’s genitals or anus, even when such contact is not directly visible, except where such images are used in the context of sexual health content or advertisements; and cases where they are obviously imaginary images or images with fantastic elements
  • Implied stimulation of the genitals/anus, defined as stimulation of the genitals/anus or insertion of objects into the genitals/anus, even when the activity is not directly visible, except where such images are used in the context of sexual health content or advertisements, and where they are obviously fictional or imagery with fictional elements
