KYC is the process of verifying your account using official documents.
This process is necessary to comply with international regulations to ensure the legality of transactions and the protection of users.
Identification is only required upon your first withdrawal and is repeated every few years.
To complete it, you will need to upload photos (no photocopies, scans or digital documents, or PDF files) of an identification document. Photos must be clear, include all four corners of the document, without shadows or flashes, and with all information clearly legible.
Why identification is required:
According to the European directive on combating the illegal transfer of funds, the verification of identification documents is done through software.
Conditions for identification
The required documents must:
- They must be of a political nature, computerized, with Greek and Latin characters.
- They must not have expired.
This restriction applies as the process is a global digital alternative and requires compliance with all specifications.
Identification attempts
You can make up to 3 identification attempts every 24 hours. If all three fail, you can repeat the process after 24 hours.
*Account identifications are carried out through the Mangopay software system , the interbank system with which we cooperate. Therefore, we do not have access to your documents and cannot determine the reason for their rejection.
Instructions for successful identification:
Try again, using color photographs (not photocopies, scanned or digital documents or PDF files) of one of the following documents:
- Police ID: within 15 years.
- Driving license: new type.
- Passport.
The documents must meet the following criteria:
- Must be valid: Computerized, in Greek and Latin characters and not expired.
- Age: The user must be over 18 years old, as stated in the document.
- Clarity and completeness: The photos of the documents must be clear and complete (both sides, if it is an ID card).
- Matching information: The information in your payments profile must match exactly the information on your identification documents.
- Billing information : Fill in your first and last name in Latin characters , exactly as they appear on the document.
