Change transaction type

If you are a seller and you have received a payment for a listing set to “meetup,” but you had agreed with the buyer to complete the transaction via shipping, follow the steps below.

  1. Cancel the active meetup transaction so the buyer receives a refund.
  2. Send a new payment request to the buyer so the transaction type can be changed. At the bottom of the chat, tap the “Start transaction” button. First, you’ll be asked to enter the payment details (the item price you agreed on with the buyer), and in the next step you can select “Shipping” as the delivery method.
    • Choose the shipping method, select the courier and the shipping costs. Read more here.
    • Review the summary to make sure all details are correct, then submit the payment request.
  3. After submitting the request, the buyer will automatically be notified and will have 3 days to complete the payment.
  4. Once the buyer completes the payment, you must ship the parcel to the buyer’s address.
  5. The buyer will receive the parcel and must approve the item for you to receive your payment.
